Meet Dulla the African Songbird

Born in Malindi, Abdalla  Abubakar Ahmed better known by his stage name Dula aka African Songbird, aka Triple A  is a Kenyan  Reggae & Afrobeat  Singer/Songwriter and a Producer. He rose to fame when he started producing some of the most successful Kenyan & Tanzania artists like Doggy Man, Madee(, Mahkas (Nigeria), PNC, Susumila, Amoury, Shirko, Ally B, Dogo Janja, Rhymes B (Tz),  Shemakins, Top B (Tz) and many others in 2005 - 2007 being one of the 1st Kenyan producer to produce 'bongofleva's bigwigs.

Dula developed an understanding of his musical abilities and an appreciation for his talent while in school making him start his musical journey in 1997 as a singer and later started to record his music and send out demo tapes in 2000. 

He has so far released Afro-beat singles like ‘Ulikua wapi' ,  ‘Hurira' and  ‘Sioni Ajabu'.

His first solo Album "Wherever you are" which includes singles like `When you Rise', `When this is over' and `Tiara (KITE)' is ready for release. 

He recently did some music Projects under KACA music Tanzania, alongside Botswana's rapper, Samba T in which he also came up with new songs which are yet to be released.

Dula has been doing several stage Performances since he started his music career, including the known Uganda All Stars tour in Kampala in the Year 2013.

Dula uses English and Swahili in his songs but he sometimes use other languages to spice up his Music.

In December, 2014 he was Awarded the Best Artist of the the year  in the Uganda Slum Festival-Kampala edition after battling out with hundreds of Artistes who participated in the "Slum Echoes" singing competition.
